Bali is an island that thrives with resorts across the entire island although most of the resorts are located within the south of the island. The main resort locations are Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Sanur and the Kuta district of the south and areas such as Ubud and Lovina of the center and north that are far less concentrated with resorts and also the many boutique resorts that are located in carefully selected areas away from the crowds of the south of the island. When referring to Bali resorts usually we are taking about the mid to top end range hotels, villas, and bungalows that are available in Bali although some of the best budget and low cost places really do offer resort status facilities and accommodation. the Bali resorts are all very good and it is a general rule that you will receive amazing accommodation and services for the money you are willing to spend at level whether it is for $100 or $1000 for the night, Bali resorts will give you the best for your money.

With so many resorts in Bali to choose from all in different areas of Bali is can be confusing to pick which is the one for you. Now obviously budget and money that is willing to be spent is one of the factors of consideration but really there certain styles of accommodation in different areas. Firstly in the Kuta area it is possible to split Kuta up into 4 areas, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak and Kerobokan. Here the general rule is the further north you go through the above list the more classy and expensive the areas become and there fore the accommodation as well as though there is room for cross over such as Kuta square has some of the best international resorts and you can find budget accommodation in Seminyak and Legian although there is far less of it then in Kuta. Kerobokan tends to have more secluded places and Seminyak is where it is possible to find more modern contemporary places. Nusa Dua is the location that seems the most western of all of Bali with big international resorts taking precedence over the entire area where the white sand beaches flow for miles. Sanur is similar to Nusa Dua but not quite as expensive and exclusive although there are still some amazing resorts, again there is some cross over in this area.

Other Bali resorts include Jimbaran which tends to offer a very classy take on the traditional accommodation and again is home to many of the international resorts. The other main option is the cultural mountain village Ubud and its surrounding area where the traditional style of bungalows has been taken into the realms of luxury but still retaining an earthy Balinese feel. This is the Balinese style resorts which is famous across the world in the resort designing world and has been replicated in many countries. The bungalows are spaced around a garden and have thatched roofs but still have all the facilities expected of a top end resort in Bali.
