Bali is a beautiful island in Indonesia and perhaps the most beautiful island in Indonesia. It is also known as “the island of paradise”. It lies between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. This island is one of the most favorite tourist destinations for holiday. There are many tourists come to Bali every year to have wonderful experience in Bali.

Bali consists of 8 regencies, they are: Badung, Bangli, Buleleng, Jembrana, Karangasem, Klungkung, Gianyar and Tabanan and 1 city that is Denpasar that also become the province capital. Each regency has its own uniqueness to visit. Most Balinese are Hindu. Thus, Bali is also well known as the island of thousand temples because there are many temples in Bali as the place for Balinese people to pray. Other ethnic in Bali is Javanese and Madurese. Most of them are Muslim while the rest are Christian and Buddhist. The people usually use Bahasa Indonesia for communication.

Besides tourism industry, Balinese people do agriculture for their living. They grow rice, fruit and vegetable. Some people also work as fisherman and the rest of them are artisans who produce batik and ikat cloth and clothing, wooden carvings stone carvings and silverware.
Bali is also well known for its culture. The people still hold their culture until now. It is unlike other places in Indonesia.

There are many places to visit in Bali. Since Bali is surrounded by sea, there are many beautiful beaches to visit within the island. The most visited beach is Kuta Beach located on the southern part of the island. It is one of place to enjoy a beach with white sand and even to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Other famous beaches are located in Legian, Seminyak, Sanur, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua. Bali is not only about beaches. There are many interesting places in Bali to discover. Tourists who are interested in culture may visit Ubud village in the central part. There are many museums, galleries and art markets. For those who want to enjoy mountain view, it is recommended to visit Mount Batur, Mount Agung and Mount
Batukaru.

As the main tourist destination in Indonesia, the tourists are able to have the facilities during their holiday. They can easily come to Bali through Ngurah Rai International Airport which is located near Jimbaran. There are also other mode of transportation facilities, hotels and other tourism facilities needed by tourists during their stay in Bali.
