It is next to Denmark on the north, Poland and Czech Republic to the east, Austria to the south and France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands to the west. Germany has 16 states and most of their climate is mild and humid. Germany has the second largest population in Europe (after European Russia) and is seventh largest in area. Germany is divided into several parts based on the geography. There are North, East, Middle, West and South Germany.In English speaking countries, Germany is popular with its culture of being stiff, brusque and strict with rules. They are also hard working and efficient. German culture in politeness is different from Anglo-American concept. German people tend to value honesty, straight talking, being able to cope with critics and not wasting other people’s time. In business meeting, they tend to lack the introductory chit-chat. Due to its size and location in central Europe, Germany has a large variety of different landscapes. A large part of the rural areas is covered by forests. There is also coasts on the north of Germany, they are North Sea and the Baltic Sea. The landscape is very flat, the climate is rough with strong winds, lots of rain and mild, chilly temperatures. The view on the North Sea island is beautiful. Yet, it is mostly visited by German people. Since the strong wind, the people come here may have wind-surfing. The geographical condition of the middle half of Germany is hilly rural areas where fields and forest intermix with larger cities. Many of these hill ranges are tourist destinations. Most notably are the Bayrische Wald (Bavarian Forest), the Black Forest, the Harz, the Ore Mountains and Elbsandstone Mountains (Saxon Switzerland). In the very south, Germany contains a small portion of the Alps. It is easy to get in Germany. The easiest way is by taking a flight into big cities in Germany such as Frankfurt Airport, Munich, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Cologne or Hamburg. Those airports connect Germany with other countries in the world. As soon the visitors arrive in one of the airport, the may take other transportation such as train or bus to take them to their hotels.
