Alam Asmara Dive Resort is located in the sleepy village of Candidasa on the east coast towards the north of Bali. This is the Heart of Bali’s Diving scene and central to sites such as Tulamben, Amed and had access to the nearby Nusa Lembongan. The 12-bungalow set up creates a secluded intimate atmosphere that is very romantic for couples and a perfect accompaniment to the Candidasa area for anyone. Candidasa itself is a real jewel of Eastern Bali, here the Balinese Culture is still very strong the pace of life is slow and the locals are positively friendly and inspirational. The physical environment here is very untouched, for Balinese beauty the North east is near impossible to surpass, winding roads head through the jungle, rainforests, huge rice padi expanses and of course the nearby towering presence of the volcano providing an impressive backdrop to the diving and residing.

Alam Asmara Dive Resort lies around one hour and thirty minutes drive from Bali International Airport as well as other resort in the southern part of the island. While the central part of Candidasa is within easy access.

As for the Alam Asmara Dive Resort itself, it is a highly distinguished establishment in which you would never guess was a Dive orientated resort from within. Of the 12 bungalows 3 are deluxe rooms, all are air-conditioned with in-room security deposits, luxurious bathrooms with a oversized Indonesian bath incorporating the use of Indonesian stones, mini-bar, private furnished terrace and antique locally hand carved craft decorating the entire villa.

The Rendezvous restaurant is an exquisite open-air venue where a variety of traditional eastern cuisine and western favorite dishes are served with extra flare from the chief. There are also a selection of unique Eurasian fusion dishes and practically excellent fruit juices and smoothies. Afternoon tea is served complimentary for all guests with spectacular views of the Gilis and pool.

The pool’s infinity edge lines up with the sea creating the feeling of being able to swim out the pool into the sea! Although close to the restaurant the pool is enclosed and privatized by the palms and other tropical trees, this makes the perfect spot for a dip and doubles as the trainer pool for first time divers.
There is specialized dive shop with a large selection of dive gear, particularly more personal things such as masks, fins and computers. Also a training room located in the restaurant is a very comfortable environment in which to learn the theory.

The spa at the resort is a particularly quaint and peaceful spa that has been well balanced and again deems the Alam Asmara Dive Resort more than just a dive resort. All treatments are performed by professionals using Balinese and Javanese techniques, all treatments use fresh ingredients where required.

Activities here are focused on the PADI diving scheme of which the Alam Asmara Resort is fully endorsed, all training programs are available here and teaching and instruction can be one to one although groups are always small and attention and tuition from the instructors is very very good.
