Bakung Beach Cottages are located just 100meters from the infamous Kuta beach and situated in the newly developed Kartika plaza area where the newest facilities and boutique shopping is as close as the beach. Staying in this area of Kuta provides not just excellent services and access to the beach but also access to the entire island via the close-by newly constructed by-pass and Sunset roads that open up the south of Bali and provide an easy trip into the north. Kuta is the liveliest area in Bali with amazing shopping, bars, restaurants and nightlife. There are many low cost services and an incredibly social scene on the beach that provides excellent swimming and surfing conditions. The beach is vibrant with groups of young travelers, local food and refreshment stalls and surf hire intertwined within the shade of the palms. Kuta beach is dynamic, both the social scene and surf conditions change as you go north, a small walk from the central area brings you to a much more secluded quiet area with slightly bigger waves, this trend continues beyond Seminyak. Bakung Beach Cottages are within 10 minutes from the international airport as well as Sanur, Jimbaran and not much further to Nusa Dua.

Rooms are authentically decorated in an understated minimalist style and are air-conditioned, have TVs and are fully furnished with verandas complete with seating overlooking the beautifully kept tropical gardens and grand pool area. This classic Kuta hotel style is a very social set up where balconies line up with the neighbors’, and although they are secluded with private walls there is more of a tendency to meet new people in this arrangement although the feel is tranquil and secluded when in the privacy of your room.

The pool is grand and irregular in shape creating the impression that there are far less people in the pool than it there are. The pools location in the centre of the grounds is lush surrounded by tropical foliage and the traditional style open buildings that give an Eastern tropical feel with the spirit that only Bali can provide. There are ample sun-lounging and shaded areas for relaxation with refreshments and snacks provided from the poolside bar.
The restaurant is also within the gardens and of traditional nature, European, Chinese and of course Indonesian cuisine are the specialties although the menu extends broader then this offering many pleasing dishes.
