Baleka Resort Hotel | Special Rates INSTANT CONFIRMATION Hotel Rating: budget Hotel Location: Jl.Werkudara Kuta Bali General Information: The Baleka Resort Hotel is located in the heart of Legian just north of the central Kuta area and is a modern traditional resort based on the Indonesian style of accommodation combined with modern luxury, traditional heritage and magnificent grounds. North Legian is certainly suitable for family holidays although the south of the area is generally associated with the younger generation and surfers. Baleka Resort Hotel is certainly 3 star hotel in Legian Bali and therefore is not reserved for these subcultures but for the more sophisticated or mature surfer party orientated travelers or groups and families. With the linear veranda format and social pool area this up market budget accommodation retains the friendly social atmosphere associated with staying in Legian but with far more seclusion and comfort within the rooms. All rooms are air conditioned with Hot and cool water en-suite bathrooms, mini-bars, satellite TV, international telephones and 25 hour room service. Legian beach is not as crowded as central Kuta beach and has more of a laid back friendly vibe where groups of travelers tend to find areas they like to stick to. The surf here can be good in the dry season but beware of rip current when swimming or surfing, these are usually very well marked with red flags by the life guards. As a general rule the further towards Seminyak on the beach the bigger the waves get and the further south the smaller, the strongest rip currents tend to be on the day when the swell is big. Legian is notorious for shopping and partying, the infamous poppies area offers traditional style market shopping where you can haggle over traditional artifacts, cheap DVDs and merchandise whereas Legian street and Kuta square offers boutique stores where all surf brands as well as exclusive fashion brands are represented at reduced prices. In the evening Legian comes alive with bars clubs and restaurants across the price spectrum always offering excellent value for money. Baleka Resort Hotel has an incredible large swimming pool and a children's pool with a crossing bridge, luxurious seating and a close by bar. Other hotel services include laundry, an on call doctor, 25 hour security, maid service, baby sitting and security lock up for any valuables. Massage can be enjoyed by the pool, in the beautiful grounds or on your private veranda. Tours can be arranged around Bali for sightseeing, surfing or diving as the point of interest. Also adventures for everyone include banana boating, white water rafting, hiking and trekking in the padi fields, hills, mountains and volcanoes or viewing the indigenous wildlife of Bali. Baleka Resort Hotel could be described as the very top end of Kuta superior accommodation. The decor of both the interior and external features are traditionally pleasant and the pool and other hotel facilities such as the bar and restaurant are excellent. The grounds and gardens are reminiscent of villa gardens and the service across the spectrum is very good. Baleka Resort still retains the social feel that one my associate with Legian budget accommodation creating a friendly atmosphere which is probably more suited to young couples, friends single travelers, and more out going adults. Although this being said there is also a very serine feel to the area and privacy is seldom disturbed when in the room which cannot always be said for the total budget establishments.
