The Sayang Maha Mertha Beach Hotel is vibrant and popular budget hotel located on Jalan Melasti in Legian, just north of Kuta in the southwest of Bali. Sayang Maha Mertha Hotel is Indonesian style offering room that area spaced around a beautiful traditional Balinese garden. Legian is located only 20 minutes from the international Airport and has excellent access to the centre of Jalan Legian (the main area for boutique shopping, bars, nightclubs and restaurants) and the Sunset road that links seminyak to Kuta with the ability of bypassing the village centre. The Sunset road also links directly onto the Bypass Road that links Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, and Sanur providing fast safe and easy access to all the major areas of interest in Bali. The beach is only a short walk away and is far less crowded area of the coastline then further south in the central Kuta area and only a short walk north will bring you to a far more secluded area. Here it is possible to relax without crowds although there are still the facilities such as beach stall selling drinks, local food and showers and toilets.

Sayang Maha Mertha Hotel differs in room quality and price, the top rooms are air-conditioned with international television and hot and cold water where as the budget cheapest rooms have only cold water and fans. These Rooms are ideal for surfers, Backpackers and younger people who are traveling on a low budget who require a quiet hideaway with a lively scene that close to the beach as well as the traditional stall and boutique shopping areas. 

The main pool area is L shaped and is a social meeting place within this friendly resort, located close to the bar it is easy to relax in the afternoon or in the evening with a cocktail by the pool on the ample sun-loungers or shaded seating in this lively and fun area to hang out. It is not unheard of for non guests pay a small fee to come in and enjoy the use of the swimming pool, billiard room and restaurant, probably due to its superior standard and atmosphere in comparison to its neighboring home stays. The restaurant offers local foods and western dishes as well as breakfast and a variety of snacks and treats throughout the day.

Sayang Maha Mertha Hotel is an excellent budget hideaway with a lively and social atmosphere which still somehow seems to retain a decent level of peace and quiet in the evening, presumably due to the guests either being out until the early hours enjoying Kuta’s hedonistic nightlife or tucked up in bed early ready to catch the first waves at sunrise. Sayang Maha Mertha Hotel is located perfectly in Legian for proximity to one of the best areas for surfing on the Kuta beach strip, close to the centre of the action around Jalan Benesari and the Poppies area as well as the main nightlife of Jalan Legian.
