The Kunja is a gorgeous mod ethnic villa located in Kerobokan just outside the Kuta district. This area is becoming increasingly more popular but still remains highly unpopulated by tourists. Kerobokan is a natural extension of the flow of locations from Kuta to Seminyak, in a similar way to north Seminyak the streets thin out as a more tropical country atmosphere begins to become established. Following this trend and continuation in Kerobokan there are far more rice paddies and tropical greenery and services specifically orientated towards the small but growing expatriate community and guests who stay in the few luxury boutique villas in the area. 

This being said Kerobokan itself remains predominantly a local area populated mainly by the Balinese who are incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. With only a small drive to Oberoi and Seminyak it is possible to enjoy the refined and classy dinning and evening activity with the bonus of living away from the traffic clubs and bars in a peaceful Balinese countryside village. The Kunja is located 20 minutes from the international airport and 20 minutes from Kuta, as well as Jalan Legian which runs through Seminyak, Legian and right down to Kuta, the Sunset Road bypasses the centre and brings you onto the bypass road making the rest of the south of the island accessible within a much shorter time and with minimum effort.

The Kunja Villas is made up of 18 separate villas, 4 of which are 3 bedroom villas that are ideal for families and couples traveling together although the focus of The Kunja Villas are the 14 one bedroom villas that are specifically orientated towards honeymooners and couples. All villas are incredibly spacious and of the utmost modern luxury inside and out, private secluded gardens contain a private pool and a well kept and maintain collection of tropical plants and trees. The villas located on extremely generous plots of land and are really more like a luxury tropical home than a commercial resort or hotel. Facilities here are top quality reflecting the class and refined style of The Kunja concept and include air-conditioning, a full entertainment system including MP3, DVD, VCD and CD players with state of the art units and a media library, the kitchen area is slick, modern and practical as is the bathroom and cozy living room. Throughout the villa are elements of traditional Bali that include the thatched coned roof down to hand carved furniture, artwork and colour schemes. Closets are of the walk in variety, the beds are king sized poster beds with luxurious fabrics and mosquito nets and the television is flat and plasma. This trend continues incorporating all home amenities in the top quality standard that is present throughout the villas.

At The Kunja it is possible to dine in your own villa via the use of a personal chief or as food from the restaurant gracefully delivered by the highly competent staff. The staff here have an excellent understanding of Japanese, English Bahasa Indonesia and French meaning communication is rarely an issue.
