There can be big waves on this beach all the way up although they tend to be smaller further south. Beware of current on these days as even in the shallows strong rip currents can tow you out towards the sea. For the most part however waves are small to medium size and safe for swimming, the coast line is well manned with lifeguards all the way up to the very top of Seminyak.
