Located beachside at the southernmost point of Sanur away from traffic and in a paradisiacal area of serenity is the Villa Puri Ayu with only a short walk to the Jalan Danau Tamlingan road of exquisite restaurants and trendy bars with excellent shopping. The beach itself is a vast beautiful stretch of perfect white sands, protected by offshore reefs with warm clear coral lagoons that are safe for swimming and a variety of water sports including sailing, canoeing snorkeling and windsurfing. The beach is palm shaded at the top with paths running the whole length passing exotic beach cafes and bars. The scene here is very laid back and relaxing on Bali’s original seaside resort. Sanur beach is never crowded due to its sheer length, resorts seem to be specifically well spaced along the beach in order to produce a very quiet feel and as if this was not enough Puri Ayu actually has its own private beach.

Sanur has no real clubs but a tasteful series of restaurants and bars of different natures which provide a more refined lively atmosphere when dining and indulging in evening leisure. The new by-pass runs into Sanur and really opens up the island for day trips north visiting the less visited traditional fishing villages of the east, the cultural heart of Ubud and its many attributes as well as heading west to Kuta, Nusa Dua and Jimbaran etc.
